Patrick was able to broaden my understanding of these topics by providing perspective that is not included in the text, offer "layman's terms" for finance concepts, and gave me some common sense follow-up questions about my answers for the homework. An example: the homework was about the value of different projects & determining which would be best for a firm - taking certain restrictions into account. While I had come up with quick answers that were within the range of the question, Patrick understood that there were better solutions. By asking: what is the NPV of ALL projects? If you leave "money on the table" what is your reasoning for that? etc., I was able to find the solution myself & understood that follow up questions close the loop for financial story problems. “Patrick is an excellent tutor. I highly recommend him for your tutoring needs. He made my daughter feel comfortable and confident during her tutoring sessions. Patrick showed her how to maneuver through each subject of the ACT exam. My daughter was given websites to go to for practice drills as well as he taught her how to really think a problem through to get the correct answers. During each practice test that was given to her by Patrick, improvement was shown, he took the time to review each test taken and went into detail on each incorrect answer. Arranging sessions was also convenient and easy to schedule. Patrick is a very knowledgeable, extremely nice individual. I would not hesitate to call him again for my daughter tutoring needs.
