Kate S. Wyzant

“When my son was in first grade, a teacher told him that math is like brushing your teeth. It is something you have to do every day and it is something you can’t forget. Practice makes you better and the more you practice, the easier math gets. Just like brushing his teeth, my son works with Kate regularly. Kate has been a part of my 6th grade son’s learning for the last two years, meeting every Saturday morning at the library. Kate follows along with my son’s math curriculum at school, reinforcing what he has learned for the week and explaining problems that were not clear in the classroom. Her patience and commitment to helping my son is truly commendable. My son is a more confident test taker because of Kate. He achieves his academic goals for the year and Kate is instrumental in his math accomplishments. Kate is knowledgeable and is able to explain concepts clearly. Kate also helps my 9th grade son. Last year, she helped prepare my son for the High School Preparation Test. She is a great tutor for his Honors Algebra 1 class and will be helping him with Honors Geometry and SAT preparation soon. Kate is always a pleasure to work with. My sons used to ask me, “Why is Kate always smiling?” Kate is a happy and a pleasant person! She is helping both my sons reach their potential.”
