She breaks the problems down clearly and helps me build confidence with the concepts I struggle with. Last week we covered combinations versus permutations and worked through calculating variance and standard deviation, including how standard deviation is the square root of variance. We also went through statistics and probability problems from the Trivium guide. Julie did a great job connecting the concepts together and making the material easier to understand. We also identified a few remaining topics to review next time. Overall, the session helped reinforce my understanding of statistics and probability while showing me where I still need more practice.”

She doesn't normally take last-minute requests from anyone, but I was in a very dire situation with an exam in two days and the fear that I didn't know anything of the concepts (writing code for regression, covariance, beta, and alpha calculations in python) for my Data Management and Analysis class. Not only was she willing to take me on, but she was very proactive by reviewing all the content I sent beforehand in detail and she asked leading questions so she knew what I wanted from her.
